Classical music

 

The GoDown has been working with the Kenya Conservatoire of Music to support the ‘National Youth Orchestra’,an annual residency for classical music enthusiasts to interact in workshops. This residency culminates in concerts held around the country. The GoDown has also been supporting talented students in Korogocho to horn their skills in playing the various classical music instruments. The year-long programme involves a 12 week semester after which the students take a professional exam. The students are trained by instructors from the Kenya. The programme has a total of about 10 students.
